February is one of the clearest months on Lake Como: cold mornings, sunny days and snow on the mountains around the lake, with very few visitors and the lowest prices of the year. In 2027 Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, so the weekend of 12–14 February is the natural romantic break.
What to do
- Take the funicular up to Brunate for the clearest view of the lake and the Alps.
- Walk the lakefront to Villa Olmo and on towards Cernobbio.
- A Serie A match at the Stadio Sinigaglia: Como vs Monza on 7 February, Torino on 21 February, Milan on 28 February.
January
January is similar: Christmas lights until 6 January, then the calmest weeks of the year. From 7 January our homes are back to a one-night minimum.
